At least in good weather. What do you do to maximize that experience? A steep hillside blocks the sun from shining on most of the city centre. At about 2am, though, the sun shines directly into the main street. Bar hoppers are thus blinded for a moment when they leave their watering holes a little too late. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-midnight-sun-is-five-minutes-away\">The Midnight Sun is five\nminutes away<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>However, you don\u2019t need to go far. The jetty Nordjet\u00e9en juts into the Troms\u00f8 Sound from the new developments at Vervet, and allows you free views towards the north. You can also go to the area around the Scandic Ishavshotel, directly on the Sound. Nothing is easier than going onto the Troms\u00f8 Bridge. Once there, the Arctic Cathedral on the Mainland side is bathed in Midnight sunshine. The view is well-known iconic, and you see the sun above the mountains on the island of Ringvass\u00f8ya. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-do-an-easy-midnight-sun-hike\">Do an easy\nMidnight Sun hike<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To savour this literally gold moment, you could go for a hike. The following trails are relatively easy to do. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Cable Car mountain, Fl\u00f8ya, is easy to reach by new paved path Sherpatrappa (The Sherpa steps, since they were made by the Sherpa people from Nepal).
