Two bridges connect \u201cthe island\u201d to Kval\u00f8ya and Tromsdalen \u2013 or simply the mainland, as the locals call it. The island also has tunnel connections to the mainland if you don\u2019t like the look of all that traffic on the bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can live a lifetime as a skier in Troms\u00f8 and not have enough time to climb all the peaks accessible from Troms\u00f8. From the city centre, places like Kval\u00f8ya, Ringvass\u00f8y, Malangen, Lakselvbukt and others are only a short drive away.<\/p>\n\n\n\t
